Friday Pour

Privacy policy

Last updated 30 July 2026

Friday Pour is a small social app about whisk(e)y. You log a pour, your friends see it and raise a glass back. This policy explains exactly what the app stores, who it is shared with, and how to get rid of it.

The app is operated by Hey Hey What A Day LLC. If you have a question about any of this, email heyheywhatadayllc@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account

Profile, all optional except your name

What you post

If you email us your collection

The shelf import works by you emailing us a list of your bottles. That email, and anything attached to it, sits in our mailbox until we delete it. We use it only to add those bottles to your shelf, we do not share it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Device

What we do not collect

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Camera and photos

The app asks for camera and photo library access so you can add a pour photo, set a profile photo, and scan bottle barcodes and labels. Photos you attach to a pour or profile are uploaded and stored. Label scanning happens entirely on your device and label images are not uploaded or sent to any text recognition service.

Who can see what

Friday Pour is friends-only. Your pours, comments and cheers are visible to people you are mutually friends with, and to nobody else. People you block cannot see your content and you cannot see theirs. Your email address is never shown to other users.

Who we share it with

WhoWhat for
Supabase Hosts the database, sign-in and photo storage. All app data lives here.
Expo, Apple and Google push services Deliver notifications. They receive your device token and the text of the notification, such as who cheered your pour.
Venmo and Cash App Only when you tap to buy someone a drink. That opens their app or website with the recipient's username. We send no data about you, and the payment happens entirely in their app.

We also disclose information if the law requires it, or where it is necessary to investigate abuse of the app.

How long we keep it

Your content is kept while your account exists. Delete your account and it goes with it, as described on the account deletion page. Routine encrypted backups may retain data for up to 30 days before being overwritten.

Your choices

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your personal data, including access, correction and erasure. Email us and we will honour them.

Age

Friday Pour is about alcohol and is intended for people of legal drinking age. The app asks you to confirm you are 21 or older before you can use it. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access rules that restrict every record to the account it belongs to and that account's friends. Sign-in uses one-time email codes rather than passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your content as private by default.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that materially affects you, we will update the date at the top and note the change in the app.
